Royal Rangers has a global presence and is proven to be an excellent way to reach, teach, and mentor boys. Royal Rangers is open to all boys from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
Royal Rangers is an activity-based program seeking to develop the total boy for Christ according to Christ's example (Luke 2:52). Royal Rangers provides boys and young men the opportunity to discover and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while learning teamwork, leadership, and a variety of indoor and outdoor skills. An individual's progress is represented on his uniform by the progress made through the advancement program. Recognition is given quarterly for his progress toward each advancement level.
Your boys will have fun and learn many new valuable skills by working on many of the 247 Merits Royal Rangers have to offer. Royal Rangers does not just teach about camping, there are many merits for different types of interests. Your boy can even earn the highest honor; the Gold Metal of Achievement by completing the necessary merit work. Many of the favorites are Pinewood derby, BB-Gun, Archery, Knife and Hawk, various sports, music, pioneering, academics, and helping others. To see a full list of merits on the national site, click on this link: http://royalrangers.ag.org/merits
Locally we provide a wide variety of activities throughout the year, indoors and out, which are designed to enhance the boy’s knowledge, skills and abilities. Rangers get to practice hands-on the merits they are working on. We usually include a field trip for each type of merit to further learning and to allow the boys to demonstrate their new learned abilities. Our outpost usually attend two "Pow-Wow's" (campouts) each year so the boys can gain new skills and / or put to use the skills they've learned.
Come by and see what Rangers is all about; we meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 in the Gymnasium. For more information visit the national Royal Ranger site: http://royalrangers.ag.org
